Action Alert:
Tell Georgia Sec of State his Campaign Ad was Pathetic

Brian Kemp has served as Georgia Secretary of State since 2010. He’s running for governor in 2018 and has released a new TV ad in which he loads a gun, points it at a young man, and warns him to “respect” his daughter.

The ad has drawn broad criticism from Georgia residents, including gun owners. The National Law Enforcement Partnership to Prevent Gun Violence said Kemp’s ad “delivers a message perpetuating domestic violence and misogyny while modeling egregiously unsafe behavior.”

Kemp has continued to model this reckless behavior in responding to the criticism. “Most are offended by my arsenal of firearms,” he bragged. “I’m conservative, folks. Get over it!”

Please contact Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp through one of the channels below with the following message (personalized to your liking):

Your new TV ad in which you load a gun and point it at a young man is absolutely pathetic. Is this your idea of how a “man” behaves, Brian? Because to me it looks like an emotionally stunted fool who needs a weapon as a crutch in order to relate to a daughter who is maturing and becoming a woman. The people of Georgia need a leader who is confident and intelligent. You are neither, sir. Your gun idolatry is degenerate, embarrassing and projects a weak sense of self-esteem. The next time you limply play “tough guy” on TV, please remember that children are watching who might be tempted to imitate your reckless, dangerous behavior.  Maybe you care about their well-being if nothing else. Georgia certainly deserves a better secretary of state.
