Action Alert:
Watch & Share Powerful “End Family Fire” PSA

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and the Ad Council have teamed up to launch the “End Family Fire” campaign, which promotes safe firearm storage in homes where children are present. Unfortunately, approximately 4.6 million American children live in a home where at least one gun is both loaded and unlocked. The campaign is being supported by a number of organizations, including the National PTA, American Psychological Association, American Public Health Association, and National Association of Social Workers.

The first PSA released by the End Family Fire campaign is breath-taking and focuses on a child who knows where his father’s gun is in the home.  The father loves his son and wants to protect him, but has bought into a culture of toxic masculinity that counsels him to keep a gun at the ready to fulfill his patriarchal duty without careful consideration of the risks involved.
