Tell Commander-in-Chief Trump he’s responsible for Pensacola

Pensacola, Florida; three sailors were killed by a Saudi national at a US Navy training college.

Three US Navy sailors were killed when they “didn’t run from danger” after a Saudi officer opened fire at the base, US Navy officials said.  Eight others were injured.  The murdered sailors were Airman Mohammed Sameh Haitham, 19, of St. Petersburg, Florida; Airman Apprentice Cameron Scott Walters, 21, of Richmond Hill, Georgia; and Ensign Joshua Kaleb Watson, 23, from Coffee County, Alabama.
While many partner nations study with US armed forces, Trump had announced that he was hiring the US armed forces out to Saudi Arabia – a country with appalling human rights violations linked to training the 911 terrorists and whose crown prince is heavily implicated in the gruesome murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi last year.

Tulsi Gabbard, a congresswoman and a member of the armed forces, put the case forward against hiring our forces to the Saudis very strongly in this video.

Trump has made a speech announcing he and the Saudis send condolences to the families:  and he said the Saudis will be sending compensation to the families.  He is pictured in this photo (Daily Mail) illustrating the kind of military aid he gave to Saudi Arabia.

Sending compensation, presumably in the form of money.  Trump said this without a hint of remorse for his part in the deaths and as if there were any amount of money that can ‘compensate’ to those who lost a son, brother, loved one in such a horrific manner.

This wholly avoidable tragedy is further compounded by the revelation that the cold-blooded murderer hosted a party where terrorist shooting videos were enjoyed, and that a Saudi present filmed the execution of the sailors.

It is intolerable that one of the world’s bloodiest regimes has anything to do with the US armed forces.  It is morally bankrupt that we have a draft-dodging president who calmly says Saudi compensation will be offered to these families when he should be announcing the immediate dissolution of the Saudi involvement in our armed forces in any shape or form.  We can only speculate what kind of classified material has been sent to the Saudis by such murdering agents.

As CNN reports, “Friday’s attack was the second shooting at a military base in three days. Last week, active duty US sailor Seaman Gabriel Romero killed two civilian employees and injured another before killing himself at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in Hawaii. Investigators have not announced a motive for that shooting.”

And of course, in case there is any doubt, the gun used to kill these young men who wanted to serve their country was ‘bought legally.  President Trump’s  unethical Muslim travel ban, which saw wholly innocent families turned away from visits to Disneyland, treated appallingly by TSA personnel, didn’t apply to this murderer or his colleague who filmed the killing.

When you announced in September that you were going to hire out the United States Armed Forces to the terrorism-linked, human-rights-denying Saudi regime, I was disgusted.

I am furious that three naval officers were shot dead and eight others were injured by a Saudi officer in our Naval Air Station in Pensacola.  Then you announced the Saudis would be sending ‘compensation’.  I don’t call it compensation – I call it blood money.

Your family’s  links with the Saudis is appalling, but to lend American military expertise and training to the people who were behind many atrocities, including at least one Saudi official’s alleged links to the 911 bombers and the murder of Washington Post  journalist Jamal Khashoggi is to me nothing short of treason.

Today the articles of impeachment were lodged, and I am glad of it.  I want to see you immediately cut any links between the Saudi military and our great country.  For a man who has made a meal out of Benghazi and attempted to pin the deaths on Clinton and others, let me be clear:  three are dead and eight are injured because of you.  As commander-in-chief, you are responsible for those lives tragically cut short and those wounded.  You are a sycophant to the Saudis. You are nearly as responsible for this avoidable tragedy as the Saudi gunman.  Resign, or at least get Saudi Arabia away from my country’s armed forces now.

 A suggested tweet:

@realDonaldTrump It was a dark day when you hired US forces to Saudi Arabia, known for human rights violations, links to terrorism. It was a worse day when 3 naval officers were shot dead, 8 wounded at Pensacola by a Saudi officer. Impeached? You should be arrested for treason.
